Terpene: Ocimene, a monoterpene also identified as Beta-Ocimene, is derived from the Greek word “Ocimum,” which means basil. Containing anti-inflammatory effects in white blood cells through a variety of pathways. Antifungal effects are also seen with the human-specific candida species. Also shoed specificity and effectiveness against SARS Virus.

Fun Fact: Ocimene is also a volatile pheromone important for the social regulation of honeybee colonies. The commercial applications of exploiting that attraction to produce “cannabis honey” have not been missed by the cannabis industry emerging in the United States, and subsequently by law enforcement agencies to detect illicit drugs by “trained honeybees,” which were proposed to replace sniffer dogs in 2015
