Terpene: Linalool exists in two chiral forms, R- and S-linalool, the R form is a great deal more flavor active.

Aroma: Floral scent; similar to lavender with hints of citrus.

Fun facts-: Attract a lover and get rid of cockroaches! The EPA has approved its use as a pesticide, flavor agent, and scent. This scent has been used in ancient times as a perfume. It is currently used in a wide variety of bath and body products and is commonly used effectively as an insecticide against fruit flies, fleas, and cockroaches.

Concentrations of linalool above 20 ppb have been shown to give a fruity hoppy aroma to beer. Linalool concentration has been described as an indicator of hoppy flavor.
